School Library Journal Review
PreS-Gr 1-- Silly cartoon illustrations are used to introduce young children to animal habitats, food, and appropriate body parts or skeletons. They feature mixups, such as a turtle with a lion's tail, a underwater monkey, and a zebra and a giraffe on skis. The pedestrian text states, ``Some things belong together. Some do not'' or asks ``What's wrong with these pictures?'' Preschoolers may enjoy answering the questions or setting things straight, but the science presented is slight. There are far better and certainly more informative introductory nonfiction titles available.-- Tina Smith Entwistle, Oakley Park Elementary School, MI
